Tour of Matera, the city famous for the part of it being carved into ancient caves, which is referred to as “the sassi”. Matera is an open-air museum and the city was declared UNESCO site in 1993. If you are a movie lovers many films have been shot in Matera: “No time to die”, part of the James Bond’s official saga, “The passion of the Christ”, written and directed by Mel Gibson. You will be enchanted by its breath-taking rocky landscape and for its resemblance to Bethlehem.
