From October 21th the bike sharing service of Uber is available in Rome, that is the first Italian city in which it has been introduced: the bikes provided are 2800 now, all electric, equipped with pedal assistance. They are similar to electric motorbike and include a Smartphone holder, very useful for the navigation function. The service costs 20 cents per minute, while the unlocking of the bike costs 50 cents. The bike are free floating, they can be park almost everywhere and they are provided with a lock with which Uber suggests to tie to any support. The operational area is wide and reaches less central zones like Eur, Monteverde Nuovo and Fleming. The bike sharing service is integrated in the Uber app, the same as the car sharing, and the payment follows the usual modality of Uber. This is the perfect choice to enjoy Rome in a different way!
