Pisa has more than 20 historic accessible churches, medieval palaces and bridges across the Arno river. The spectacular Piazza dei Miracoli, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is undoubtedly a must for anyone visiting Tuscany. The museum route through the Baptistery, the Cathedral, the famous Leaning Tower, that you can climb up and from the top, you will admire from a unique point of view the spectacular city, and the monumental Camposanto.

You don’t have to miss Piazza delle Vettovaglie and Piazza dei Cavalieri, where you can find Palazzo della Carovana. This Palace is decorated with allegorical figures and zodiac signs by Giorgio Vasari. The Palazzo dell’orologio with its “Torre della fame” (The hunger Tower), where the count Ugolino Della Gherardesca was imprisoned inside and died after few mouths for lack of food. As Dante Alighieri has written in the “Divine Comedy”.
