In the wake of Venice’s Festival, the International Cinema Festival of Rome will take place for its fourtenth edition at the Auditorium Parco della Musica between October 17th and 27th. As every year, it will be displayed the annual selecton of films ending with the assignments of the prizes, complemented by a series of meetings, events, debates and other exhibitions dedicated to the seventh art. The full program will be displayed in a press conference in October 4th: the only thing known to the public has been leaked by a post from the organization’s Twitter account which has confirmed the official picture of this edition: the “Divine” Greta Garbo, cinema’s first diva and beauty icon, incarnating the quintessential feminine figure of her time. The chosen photo has been taken from her first non-mute film: 1929’s “The Kiss”. An image selected as a tribute to the actress and to cinema as a whole.
