The word Tiramisu means, “pick me up.” It comes from the Treviso dialect, “Tireme su”, originated in Treviso in 1800. Today, tiramisu considered the world’s most famous dessert. This year, the most delicious challenge will take place from November 1st to 3rd in Treviso. The tiramisu World Cup expects to host experienced and amateur pastry chefs, dessert enthusiasts, and gourmets. The winners of the 2019 World Cup will win a trip to Curitiba, Brazil; they will be guests and protagonists of the “Week of Italian Cuisine in the world.” In addition to this competition, another will be held in Treviso too, on 14 and 15 November, but dedicated to the little chefs from 8 to 13 years old who can compete for the title of World Champion.
