Pompeii, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997 and visited by 2,6 millions of tourists per year, continues to amaze with its discoveries. On the 29th of August, two bullets of the Second World’s War have been found in the excavated areas of Pompeii. The bullets were located behind an area already investigated in the past; as the territory of Pompeii has been bombarded in the past years, in every excavation work it is obligatory to insert into the security plan a reclamation for the military devices: actually, before starting any yard, must be established a project of reclamation that the Military Engineering will be able to execute. After the discovery, the Carabineers took over the area and, helped by the Prefecture, they started the removal operations. However, despite the intervention, the visitors’ will keep on enjoying the visit!
