Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598-1680) was one of the main sculptor and architect in Roman artistic life
During this accessible tour, you will be able to admire the works of the great master Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who was a sculptor and architect of Baroque Rome. You will visit fountains, sculptures and the interior of churches where he left his works, which were commissioned to him by the Popes, for their burials. One of the most remarkable examples of his art is “The Ecstasy of St. Teresa” in Santa Maria della Vittoria.
The visit will include churches and squares with sculptures and fountains, made by the great master, the Galleria Borghese, where we can admire some works by Bernini: Enea, the Rape of Proserpina, Apollo and Dafne, the David, to name a few, along with other masterpieces by numerous artists, such as Canova, Raphael, Tiziano and Caravaggio.
