Tour Venetian Villas
Every year, from March to October, it is possible to visit by boat, the Venetian Villas along the Brenta River. The Burchiello was a typical Venetian passenger boat with a large wooden cabin with three or four balconies, beautifully carved and decorated. The burchielli were used by the wealthier classes to reach Venice from their country villas.
Today all motored boats traveling through the River of Brenta from Venice are commonly called burchielli; heirs of ancient traditions, these modern and comfortable boats ply the waters of the Brenta slow pace, while the guides will show you on board history, culture and art evidenced by the Brenta Villas.
We will visit the insides of some of the most beautiful Venetian Villas and the Old Mills of Dolo very important to the economy of the Riviera del Brenta in the past.
