The Pilgrimage of S. Filippo Neri The 7 Churches

His preaching became more widespread over the years, which led to the Pilgrimage of the Seven Churches, a journey touching the most important religious places in Rome. The pilgrimage became very popular from 1559 onwards and became a necessity amongst Christians.
