Ostia Antica is back to its former glory after the restoration
After 4 years of restoration works, the archeological site of Ancient Rome is finally back to its former glory, with the re-opening of many areas.
The restoration affected 187 areas and sites located on the left side of the main street which was in the ancient time, the direct way to Rome, are now back, for a total lenght of 670 m.
Along the way you are now able to visit again the Monumento Repubblicano, the beautiful Tempio Collegiale, the Mitreo of Serpenti with its stunning frescos, and 37 rooms of the thermal area.
4 million dollars have been allocated for this restoration, and Ancient Ostia archeological site is now completely renovated and really worth a visit, as is now consider at the same level and importance as Pompeii, but still not very well know as the most famous one in Naples.
