Ancient Ostia

Living the centre of the town we will go along the “Via del mare”, and we will arrive to Ostia Antica.
This visit helps us to learn  how the ancient Romans lived; Ostia was built by Anco Marzio and than emperor Claudius provided a port for Rome and it became an important cultural centre during 5th century B.C.,
but with barbarian  invasions the fall started.
You will feel the same atmosphere as Pompeii. Inside, going along tombs-road,
we can admire Neptune’s baths ,with its famous mosaics of Neptune and Aphrodite,
the ancient Theatre built by  Agrippa , the forum , Diana’s home, the Termopolium,
the most important public and religious buildings as Capitolium, Augustus ‘s temple, the Basilica.
