Christmas markets

From December 2012 until after the Epiphany of the 2013 Rome garbed in Christmas with its markets!

Also this year Rome dresses in red and a thousand other colorful colors, those of the Christmas markets, which in the Capital wind primarily towards Piazza Navona in the historic center, in an exultation of gifts crafts, art, toys and decorations for trees and cribs. The Christmas spirit will spread in Piazza Re di Roma, where from early December to Christmas Eve there will be lots of stalls full of gifts and sweets that are just waiting to be eaten and given away, respecting the traditional Advent markets in northern Europe. You can not miss then, by way of the Coronary, in Sant’Eustachio Bear and mandolin concertos, gospel and world music, accompanied by an exhibition of the toy and an exhibition of nativity scenes.

While drive along the city streets you can hear the voice of a minstrel who will tell you anecdotes most mysterious of the city. In a typical Christmas atmosphere, you will find the perfect gift ideas, enjoying warm chestnuts just roasted, cups of hot chocolate or hot mulled wine. All accompanied by pipers who play background music.

To enrich your visit to the capital can also give you a tour in the most beautiful museums in the city. Christmas offers a unique opportunity to combine art, tradition and fun in a setting of exception.
